100% RECYCLED CARTONS

We sometimes get asked why we pack our eggs in plastic trays? There is a simple, but perhaps surprising answer.

The plastic trays we use are, in fact, less harmful to the environment than other packaging materials.

Our plastic trays are made of 100% recycled plastic, i.e., reused bottles. This way, a minimal amount of water and energy is consumed in the manufacturing stage.

When transported, plastic packaging takes up a quarter of the space compared to cardboard packaging, which means that mileage and CO2 emissions from transport are reduced significantly, as more goods fit into the same load.

Another important point is that eggs are better protected in plastic trays, which is essential, as each wasted egg puts more strain on the environment than making packaging from recycled plastic.

Ultimately, of course, the consumer can also decide where the used tray ends up.

Environmentally sustainable egg production is important to us, which is why we want to support it through our own choices.
